"Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.”
— Conan O’Brien's keynote speech to Dartmouth’s Class of 2011
This quote is the perfect way to describe my work ethic and how I navigate the world around me. Professionally speaking, I want to partner with people, businesses, and nonprofits and help them exceed their marketing goals. I approach each opportunity with curiosity, creativity, and compassion.
I look forward to meeting you and discovering how we can work together to create amazing things. Book a meeting with me today!
Who Am I?
I'm Elisa, founder of Red Pen Resources. I started out in journalism, where I learned to ask the right questions, dig for the real story, and share it in ways that make people feel seen, heard, and understood. I've carried that lens through every marketing and communications job since.
I don't just ask what you do. I ask why it matters, who it changes, and what would be lost without it. Then I turn those answers into words that work as hard as you do.
What I Do?
I help small businesses and nonprofits find their voice through brand messaging, copywriting, and storytelling. Maybe your website doesn't sound like you. Your emails go out, but nobody acts on them. Your fundraising message isn't landing with donors.
That's where I come in. My clients walk away with websites that finally say what they mean, emails people respond to, and stories that turn readers into longtime clients and supporters.
Where Have I Been?
I love helping people stop being the best-kept secret in their field. Over the years, I've written agency-level messaging across industries — from co-leading the branding for Montco Gateway Chamber of Commerce to telling the story of mission-driven organizations like Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. I bring that same eye for messaging to you. See my client list or visit my LinkedIn profile to learn more.
Why Red Pen?
Red Pen Resources is partly named for my Dad, a retired middle school teacher. He always had a red pen over his ear and wielded it with kindness and a desire to help others. I took this to heart and embraced his philosophy when working with clients on what means the most to them—telling and sharing their stories.
